Chhet Theap,39 years old, lives alone without family in a town south-east of Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
Before 2000 Chhet Theap worked in construction to support his family. However he was involved in a serious electrical accident at work which left him paralyzed. He has never fully recovered, and unable to use his legs, they continue to wither. Since his accident his parents have passed away and his siblings have married and moved to Thailand for work. His neighbor constructed a tent like structure for Chhet Theap to live in.
He tries to sell small bags of cakes and candy to children in the village as he doesn’t want to beg. He was glad for the wheelchair which will allow him to move further out to sell cakes and candy.
