In
Manila I was able to
meet with people who are
making a difference in
lives of people there who
need wheelchairs. Since
returning we’ve been able
to send 22 wheelchairs to
the Philippines. Here you
see two recipients.
When eleven year old James
approaches, instead of
footsteps, you hear a
swish-swish as he scoots
along in his plastic
basin. A pastor in Manila
while listening to a
children’s choir noticed
James singing and playing
the tambourine. He
asked for a wheelchair for
James. We were glad
to be able to donate one
and
wish James the best as he
hopes to become a
lawyer
some day.

Also pictured is
Mrs. Balingod who is 65
and has partial paralysis
in her
legs. She and her husband
live with a daughter and
two grandchildren. She
was thrilled to receive a
chair (pictured being
delivered here to her)
which allows her to get
out of her house now.
I am so grateful for all who have volunteered and partnered with Wheelchairs of Hope allowing Mrs. Balingod and James to now have these wheelchairs.
