The beginning of September we had the privilege to once again tour The Wheelchair Project at RICD, Rajanagarindra Institute of Child Development. The new director, Mr. Joseph Tell (pictured at the far left,) kindly showed us around. Before taking this position he had worked at the project for many years so was familiar and knowledgeable with the many aspects of the work.
We were once again impressed at the holistic nature of the program and the many committed volunteers who come from all over the world to help at The Wheelchair Project.
One of our favorite parts was seeing the section where toys are lent to children. There was a large selection of remarkable traditional Thai toys, and toys and books alike are categorized by developmental levels so the children could learn as they play with the toy of their choosing.
It is a privilege to be able to have partners of this calibre and we are delighted to send them a fifth container of wheelchairs this next spring.
With your help,
