A Wheelchair for Grandmother Sok

Mrs. Orm Sok is 79 years old and lives with her daughter’s family who are farmers in Siem Reap.
Mrs. Sok sustained back injuries when she fell down some stairs, leaving her unable to walk on her own. Her grandson helped her navigate around the house. As the entire family is involved in farm work, Mrs. Orm Sok spent her days sitting or lying in bed while the family worked.
Since receiving the wheelchair she is able to move about in her home by herself and enjoys visiting her neighbors and getting outdoors. She was also able to attend a village funeral.
Mrs. Orm and CMC (https://www.cmcnews.org), our partners in Cambodia, sent a letter of thanks saying how grateful they are, and that Mrs. Orm now has a smile on her face.
