Abelardo in Mindanao Receives his Wheelchair

Abelardo, of Mindanao in the Philippines, at 81 years old has 8 children, 20 grandchildren, and 1 grandchild. He worked as a farmer, laborer, and drove a three-wheeled taxi to support his family.  He retired 10 years ago after a third stroke left him with impaired vision, hearing difficulty, and pain in his joints and muscles when trying to walk.  His children now care for him and his wife.  Theirs is a delightful love story. While on a vacation trip he noticed 20-year-old Anacorita who was working diligently in the field until later afternoon.  She was also attracted to the young handsome and kind vacationer.  What followed was a beautiful love story.

Their church in Mindanao now sent a request for a wheelchair to GLOW (our partners in the Philippines) who chose a wheelchair from their stock in Manila, then crated and shipped it to a pastor who delivered the wheelchair to Abelardo.
