Allan Begins To Attend School

In a newsletter last year we introduced 22 year old Allan from the Philippines who is unable to walk due to childhood polio.

Because he was abandoned by his parents and lived with his grandparents in the forest, he did not learn to read or write.

Given a wheelchair he worked running errands at a construction site. When the construction project was completed he found himself unemployed. The neighborhood church has a family who has taken Allan in. He has now been enrolled in a special education class at the local elementary school and is enthusiastic about learning.
